DATA
CABLING
We absolutely believe that networking in today’s
businesses is a must. That being the case, we offer cabling
services as well to small businesses that up until now have
been trying to work around not having their computers
networked. Also, we know that businesses over time, expect to
grow and therefore need better cabling installed perhaps. Back
in the ’90s networks were built with the Token Ring systems, or
10 Megabit ethernet, and other systems and then as time passed
most everyone moved to 100 Megabit Ethernet networks, but now,
it seems that with data access needs continually on the rise,
the need for Gigabit Ethernets is inevitable and we are right
there on the front line offering to help your business move
cleanly into the 21st century to keep up with the ever growing
demands of business on Information Technology and help you
“keep your shirt” while doing so so that your IT needs don't
put you out of business financially. Cabling an office is only
the first step at moving toward a well networked environment
but we'll be happy to be there for you to make the necessary
recommendations to keep ahead of your business’ needs.
Gone are the days of “Sneaker Nets” when everyone
passed information along with Floppy disks that are more and more
rare every day or even USB Flash Drives that,
frankly, are not a secure means of storage anyway beside being inconvenient.
We cannot stress how important a healthy network is to
smooth day-to-day business operation, so at the very least, have
your network checked out to see if it may be in serious need of
an upgrade. Also, although this may be quite technical, you may
need to know this if your business is required to follow
government standards for whatever reason. We can cable both the
568-B wiring standard or the 568-A standard. The 568-B standard
is the most popular but does not follow government regulation.
Also, if you intend to have voice and data share the same
cabling, 568-A is the way to go so that both your company's
phones and network can use the same cabling all through a
standard RJ-45 Interface instead of the typical mix of RJ-11
(phone) and RJ-45 (data) outlets in each office.
